Older Finishes

As I find pictures of older finishes, I’ll add them here. This is by no means all of the quits and projects I’ve made or participated in. Many, many have been gifted, donated or I never took pictures of them before handing them in or passed them along (round robins, charity blocks, etc.)

Modern Crumbs - My first “modern” quilt (September 2010)

Scrappy Spiderweb - One of my favourite quilts! This block construction was shared at our guild’s Scrapbusters workshop, taught by the incredibly talented and enthusiastic Wanda M.!

Terry’s Tender Vittles - Made for my son, adapted from a wall hanging pattern from McCall’s Quick Quilts (July 2000)

I Love You More than the Sun, Moon and Stars! - Made during a Colour Workshop series our guild hosted. (Started 1999, not sure when I finished it)

Christmas Trees - Wallhanging - Debbie Mumm Friendship Club hosted by the LQS (1999, finished in 2000)

Christmas Tree Wallhanging - Pattern from McCall’s Quick Quilts (one of two; the second one gifted) (Christmas 2000)

Card Trick - My first pieced quilt top (1988 or 1989) became my oldest UFO. I used cheap fabric (all I could afford at that time), lots of bias edges and no experience meant very scant seams in some places. What, you don’t sew around the points to avoid cutting them off😜? This quilt never would have been finished if it wasn’t for my friend, Denise, who graciously took it home about 20 years later and quilted it for me as a thank you for gifting her some fabric! She reinforced/quilted all the poorly sewn seams so the quilt wouldn’t fall apart! My kitty cats like it!
