Happy New Year!

I was always terrible at writing consistently in a diary. I write for several days or weeks, then lose interest. Thus, the neglect here. It’s nice to have the break between Christmas bustle and New Years to relax and reflect on the past year and consider goals and plans for the upcoming year. No promises that I’ll post more often, just that I will here and there.

I am signing up for two quilty challenges, the 2019 Finish-A-Long (details here) and RSC19 Rainbow Scrap Challenge. Optimistically, I will tackle one or two finishes a quarter. It will be great to finish a few! I have lots of scraps so I am also looking forward to working on some scrappy projects, too!

I’ve signed up and will start training for a 30K race in early April (it’ll be the second time doing this race!) and several halfs this year (BMO Half, Scotia Half). Looking forward to the training schedule! I always thought when I saw someone running, that they could just run. It never occurred to me that, a) not everyone is a natural runner, b) runners come in all shapes and sizes, and c) you have to train (at least most mere mortals do!). There are a lot more training miles that come before the race, and that’s where you need to put the effort in!

I’ll post some of my sewing/quilty finishes over the last year or two, and start making my list of projects I will to work on/finish in the first quarter.

Happy New Year!

Kat
